Istos Labs operates Istos Housing. This notice explains the information we collect when you sign in, save housing information or request an AI phone interview.

What we collect and why

We receive your Google account identifier, name and email to create and secure your account. We store the contact details, housing preferences and property details you choose to supply so you can manage your housing search and properties. Affordability context is optional; please use broad descriptions and avoid identity documents, bank details, detailed credit histories and sensitive personal information.

Istos Housing does not currently make matching, eligibility or referencing decisions. No property records or renter preferences are publicly browsable, and we do not currently share them with counterparties.

AI telephone interviews

A callback happens only when you explicitly request and consent to it. The assistant identifies itself and confirms you are willing to continue. You can decline questions or end the call at any time. Calls last up to five minutes.

Vapi and Twilio process your phone number and call to provide the interview. Vapi’s speech and model services process live audio and a transcript to produce draft preferences. Audio recording, verbose logs and packet capture are disabled in our assistant configuration. Vapi may retain transcripts, call metadata and structured results under its provider retention policy; its current pay-as-you-go policy is 14 days. Twilio may retain telecommunications records under its own policies. We store only consent, call identifiers, processing status and extracted draft preferences in Supabase, without raw audio or transcripts.

Voice results are a draft. You review and correct them before they become your saved search. Account deletion requests removal of associated Vapi call data; independent provider backups and telecommunications records remain subject to their policies.

Services and access

Supabase provides authentication and our database in London. Google provides sign-in, Vercel is our intended production host, and Vapi and Twilio provide requested telephone interviews. Their subprocessors may process information outside the UK under their service and privacy terms. Database ownership controls restrict access to your records through the app to your account.

Retention and your choices

We keep your account and submitted information while you use Istos Housing. You can edit information, pause your search or delete your account in account settings. Pausing retains your data. Confirming a voice draft removes that draft from the interview record. Account deletion removes the database records linked to your account. Provider backups and security records may expire separately.

Cookies

We use essential authentication cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
